Ultimate Personal Shaver will be the smoothest shave of your life on intimate areas. Using 3 rotary ultra fast turbine blades behind ultra safe and ultra thin foil. Before using the Ultimate personal shaver you will need to trim hair to a stubble with a trimmer. You can use any hair trimmer that you think will work.
Step 1: Trimming
Use a Ultimate trimmer to cut the hair to "stubble length." Note that here we are talking about Ultimate trimmers and not the Ultimate Personal Shaver, but you'll need both. The trimmer is used to cut the long pubic hair down to about the length of a man's 1-2 day beard. This is the secret of the first shave, and we can't stress enough that the stubble left behind by the trimmer has to be very short. While the Ultimate Personal Shaver does an incredible job of smoothing stubble, it will not cut longer hair because it was not designed to. Originally, the Ultimate Personal Shaver was designed as a face shaver and that gives you an idea of how short the hair needs to be. If your hair is really long and/or thick and "hangs up" in your trimmer, use a pair of scissors to mow the bush down to a 1/2 inch or so. Then follow up with the Ultimate trimmer to get the hair to "stubble length."
You can use any hair trimmer that you think will work. We've found that some of the beard trimmers are pretty decent and have the added advantage of different length-cutting guides to help you trim any bush you choose to leave behind. Be especially careful of your trimmer's open blade array, and pay particular attention to the inner beaver lips or the testicles because if loose skin gets trapped between the inner and outer cutting teeth, you'll experience a nasty nick. Use your fingers to pull the skin tight while drawing the cutting head over it. With most trimmers (except our Ultimate Trimmer), you don't want the metal blades in contact with your skin, especially sensitive areas or areas with loose skin. It's a catch-22, because you still need to trim the hair to really short stubble length. Of course, if you don't want to run the risk of being cut or nicked on your beaver (or balls), consider getting our Ultimate Trimmer. (Shameless Plug)
Step 2: Ultimate Personal Shaver
Always shave dry with the Ultimate Personal Shaver, and while you can theoretically use it directly on dry skin, we strongly recommend using a little talcum powder. It acts like a dry lubricant, letting the Ultimate Personal Shaver smoothly over the skin. Don't use too much, though, because it will choke up the shaver. After a few uses, you'll start to get a feel for how much you need.
As the Ultimate Personal Shaver glides over the skin, stubble enters through the square-shaped holes in the shave head. The rotating blades and the square holes form a triangle that captures the hair and shaves it smoothly. It is this ability to capture and cut hairs (and not skin) that is one of the most noticeable differences between the genuine Smoothshave and other pubic area shavers on the market. Manufacturing the foil portion of a shave head is much more exacting and technical than it appears. It is an incredibly tough engineering feat to design a shave head with a hole design that will allow hair in, but not the soft skin of the pubic area. Clever design coupled with advanced manufacturing techniques are the secret.
The Ultimate Personal Shaver quality construction and design means that it can be used directly on just about any surface. The inner vaginal lips, testicles, or any other particularly sensitive, hard-to-shave area are completely safe.
Remember, the Smoothshave will not cut longer hair, nor will any other shaver on the market. Run a Braun, Remington or any high st elecctric shaver over your head (assuming you have hair there) and see what happens....nothing. If the Ultimate Personal Shaver isn't wizzing it off, you've left the hair too long and need to use the Ultimate trimmer again. The stubble needs to be very, very short.
Step 3: Maintenance
Daily maintenance is key. Make it a part of your routine, and you will be pleased with the results. If you do it every day, you can get the job done it in 2-5 minutes; however, if you wait an extra day, you will spend considerably more time shaving. Wait much longer and you'll have to use the trimmer again.Ultimate Personal Shaver quality construction and design means that it can be used directly on just about any surface. The inner vaginal lips, testicles, or any other particularly sensitive, hard-to-shave area are completely safe.
Remember, the Ultimate Personal Shaver will not cut longer hair, nor will any other shaver on the market. Run a Braun, Remington or what have you shaver over your head (assuming you have hair there) and see what happens....nothing. If the Smoothshave isn't doing a great job, you've left the hair too long and need to break out the Smoothshave trimmer again. The stubble needs to be very, very short.
Here are a few hints:
Shaving the pubic area isn't quick. I've had worse jobs, but it is a project. Still, this is one of those projects where it really is easier to have an assistant. "Many hands make light work." If you are the "shave," you physically can't bend over far enough to get "down there." It's better to have a friend help, especially for the first shave and in particular the trimming. It can be done solo, but what are friends for?
Some pubic hair grows tightly against, almost parallel to, the skin. When the head of the Ultimate Personal Shaver goes over these hairs, it sometimes fails to pick up the hair and cut it. By using your fingers to squeeze the skin into a fold, you can effectively "lift" the end of these hairs off the skin along the curved portion of the fold, allowing the Ultimate Personal Shaver to mow down those problem hairs.
The more times and the more directions you go over the area, the smoother it will be. Vary the downward pressure (you don't need much) and try a rotating, circular motion. You will hear the blade actually cutting the hairs. When the sound of cutting hair gets infrequent, it is usually smoothly shaven.
