‘Out of sight out of mind’……is often the expression used for feet during the winter months, and it’s only when the summer approaches that people panic as they realise how they have neglected their feet.
Dry cracked heels are not only unsightly but very painful too.
The skin on the soles of the feet is four times thicker than anywhere else on the body, and they can become dry if not looked after properly. This is due to excess sweat drying on the skin within hosiery and footwear. Dry skin can lead to other problems including cracked heels and calluses which can become very sore and painful. These lesions can also provide a port of entry for bacteria, which could lead to a major infection or other problems, if overlooked.
We recommend that you use the Sagara foot file to simply glide away rough, dry skin on the heels, then apply PS (Perfect Skin) which is rich in emolients and aloe vera, morning and particulally at night before bed
If you have cracked heels you’ll know how uncomfortable they are, and probably feel a little self conscious during the summer months when you want to wear strappy sandals.
During the winter you can hide them but in the summer and particularly on holidays abroad they are there for all to see. The best thing to do is to follow our advice and exfoliate every day with a pumice stone or a Sagara foot file, which are great for softening calluses or areas of very hard skin. After showering carefully pat them dry and immediately apply a rich moisturising cream like PS perfect skin.
