Terms & Conditions for the retail division of Salonlines

Please read our terms and conditions carefully.

Placing An Order

When you have placed an order with Salonlines you will automatically be sent a confirmation email to the email address you have supplied. This will contain your order details, the prices of all items in the order, the delivery charge and delivery method. This will be followed by an order dispatch email with all delivery (or other) details including the tracking number so you can ALWAYS check the status of your order.

If goods you have ordered are delayed or out of stock you will be sent an email advising you and giving you the option to cancel part or all of the order. Orders can also be checked by logging into our website 6-12 hours after placing the order.


Salonlines endeavors to dispatch UK orders within 48 hours if ordered before 15:00 (GMT) Monday to Friday. Goods ordered on Fridays after 15:00 (GMT) will not be dispatched until Monday. Please allow 3-7 days for delivery on our standard service. Items that are sent using next day delivery "guaranteed" will be clearly marked "next day delivery". Deliveries can be made to your home or valid work address. An alternative work address must have a company name that matches with the postcode. A signature is required all next day delivery items, please log into your account on our website to check your for order updates and courier information. Tracking numbers and methods are also available in your account. Please check for cards left by couriers if you think a delivery may have been attempted. UK Mail hand the final part of their delivery to your local post office. When tracking orders with UK Mail your order may show as delivered even if you haven't received it yet. This usually means that your order has been delivered to your local post office and delivery is imminent.

A signature for registered items at the delivery address accepts goods into your custardy and care. This also confirms that they have been received complete and in undamaged packaging. Therefore you should always refuse damaged or leaking parcels. Refunds can only be given on damaged goods and when we have been notified within a reasonable time of receipt - so please inspect your goods immediately. All damaged or broken goods must be returned before a replacement or refund can be given. In the unlikely event that goods are lost in transit, they cannot be classified as missing until after 7-10 days.

Whilst next day dispatch is the service we aspire to, please note that by placing an order on the Salonlines website you are placing an order for goods to be delivered within our terms and conditions (3-7 days). Salonlines operates a micro-controlled stock system, that utilizes our suppliers warehouses as well as our own 4000 sq ft facility. This improves both our buying power and range of goods offered. We strive always to offer you, the customer, the best prices and largest range of goods. Should you require an item for guaranteed next day delivery if it is available on that item you will be offered the chance to upgrade at the checkout. Salonlines will not pay compensation or refund postage should your delivery arrive late or be classed as missing. (Feedback on delivery times is always welcome to help us refine our service even more).

Please note: Orders may not be tracked by phoning our offices until outside our terms and conditions. If your purchase appears to be late arriving, you may get access to tracking numbers and delivery method information by logging onto our website. Once outside 7 days we will gladly track the order on your behalf. Should goods turn out to be lost damaged or stolen we will offer to send a replacement or issue a refund. This will only be when the goods are confirmed as missing by the courier concerned.

Please note: Next day delivery is the service that we aspire to for the UK mainland. Salonlines cannot accept liability for late delivery by our couriers or any consequential loss due to delay in dispatch or loss of parcels.

Overseas Orders


Salonlines only delivers to the UK addresses at present.



Returns can only be made by prior arrangement, please call 0151 486 1112 for a return authorisation number. Unauthorised returns will be refused.

Unused, unwanted goods must be returned within 7 days after receipt. A refund or exchange will be given provided that they are in 'as new' condition, with ALL original packaging and is suitable for resale. (Non-fault refunds always exclude our actual postage and packing charges).

Goods are not supplied on a trial basis. For suitability issues please contact the manufacturer. Please note, price will usually reflect performance of electrical goods.

Used items cannot be returned unless faulty or in mutually agreed exceptional circumstances.

In the event of a customer requesting a courier collection of goods or refusing goods without prior cancellation notification, a fee of £9.95 will apply for those whose parcels which are returned to sender via our courier services. The handling fee will be deducted from the cost of items not total price.

The warranty on electrical goods is strictly on a return to base agreement after 28 days of receipt. We reserve the right to repair, replace or upgrade electrical goods if they are no longer available for an item of a similar value and performance. Please note that on replaced items, the warranty still runs from the date of original purchase. Replacing goods can be over and above your statutary rights and is at the discretion of the manufacturer, the original sales contract still applies. Your warranty is NOT extended when goods are replaced.

You are always responsible for the safe return of unwanted or faulty goods. Please send returns recorded delivery with a return authorisation number and covering letter. Postage is only refunded when goods are returned and proved to be faulty.

Faulty goods (especially electrical items) must be returned according to the manufacturers instruction, in the absence of this please contact us for advice. Issues arising outside warrant periods must be addressed to the manufacturer or importer as we will be bound by their rules and regulations.

Product Descriptions and Images


Our descriptions of products are generalisations - we do not guarantee the 'suitability' of goods for any specific person or use. As with any mail order purchase the choice of 'suitability' lies with the consumer based on our fair and accurate description.

Images used on Salonlines are for guidance only and may not be an exact image of the goods you receive. Furthermore we cannot guarantee that product packaging may be changed by manufacturers without notice to us. In the event of this happening we will send the updated packaging if the old version is no longer available.

Credit Card Details


Upon choosing to save your card details for future one-click payments, you give us permission to store partial card details, which include the last four digits of your card number, its expiry date, its type (e.g. VISA) and the name that appears on the card.

Salonlines do not store full credit card details on its servers. Secure payment transactions are handled by our partner SagePay. Our staff never see your card details nor do we store them in full. Upon saving your card, Salonlines stores only a unique reference to that card which is passed to SagePay along with your order amount for processing. You may choose to remove any saved cards at any time. If you have any concerns about the use of your data in this way, please contact us.

Use of the Trade area of our website is restricted, please only order through this part of the website if you can verify business status. Please note that some prices in this area cannot be seen until we approve your trade application. If you do not qualify for Trade inclusion we reserve the right not to supply goods without giving reason. We may disable your user username and password, at our discretion if you breach any of the terms governing your use of the Salonlines website.



All issues relating to the use of our website will be dealt with according to English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and laws in England.
